O'ahu is the home of `Iolani Palace, a Hawaiian
national treasure and the only official state residence of royalty in the United States. It was the official residence
of the Hawaiian Kingdom's last two monarchs -- King Kalakaua, who completed the Palace in 1882, and his sister and successor,
Queen Lili`uokalani. During the monarchy period, the Palace was the center of social and political activity in the Kingdom
of Hawaii.

Hawaii (The Big Island)
The Big Island of Hawaii was made for family fun!
The island of Hawaii is the largest of the Hawaiian Islands, therefore referred
to as the “Big Island.” This island has an area of over 4,028 square miles with 266 miles of coastline and is
the second most populated island in the State. Geologically, it is the youngest island, formed by 5 volcanoes. The two that
are still active are Mauna Loa and Kilauea. Kilauea is the world’s most active volcano on record with it’s on
going eruption fascinating visitors since 1983. As Kilauea continues to add and reshape the island, it also influences the
weather. As a result, the island experiences 11 of the 13 global climate zones. Mauna Loa at 13,677 feet and Mauna Kea
at 13,796 feet are also the highest mountains in the Pacific. Mauna Kea houses the world’s largest observatory
with the biggest telescope and scientific observations. Ka Lae is the southernmost point in the United States with constant
winds at 27 knots per hour that blow east to west 24 hours a day throughout the year.
The Big Island is diverse culturally and geographically from its snow capped
peaks to lush rain forests and barren black lava fields. Visitors will encounter a wide variety of plant, marine and
animal life, including the Giant Pacific Green Sea Turtles and the Nene Goose. The historic shores of Kealakekua Bay where
Captain James Cook was killed in the late 1700’s and the 175,000 acre Parker Ranch, one of the oldest and largest cattle
ranches in the United States, are also popular attractions.
Hilo
(Kona)
Known for its world famous Kona Coffee, the island
has an intoxicating aroma from the coffee fields. Visitors can leave a fast-paced life behind and renew tehmselves with
a slow-paced, relaxed approach. Families will love how the people of Kona greet visitors with the warm welcoming spirit
of aloha!
Day Nine:
Maui
Maui is nature's amusement park.
